I think that the sun is the most important level in the food chain because it provides energy for the plants which provides energy for the herbivores and so on. Without the sun, none of the animals or humans would be alive.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to be one thing in the energy pyramid, I would be a herbivore. I would be a herbivore because a herbivore gets to eat often, and they also get to relax and hang out until there is something to eat. Unlike producers, they actually get brakes and don’t have to work 24/7.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the most important level of the energy pyramid would be the sun or the source of energy. Without the energy or as we used the beans as sources of calories, plants would not get nutrients and herbivores would die of with no plants. From then carnivores would die with no meat and scavengers would die off with no meat also.
ReplyDeleteI think that the sun is the most important level of the pyramid is the sun because it gives energy to the producers. Than the herbivores get energy by eating the producer, and the carnivore can get energy by consuming the carnivore, which then the scavenger gets the energy from left behind scraps of dead animals.
ReplyDeleteIf I were part of a real energy pyramid I would want to be a carnivore. I would want to be a carnivore because in our demonstration of the transfer of energy the carnivores got to eat every so often but they didn’t have to constantly be finding food. I would also want to be a carnivore because you would be known as the top of the food web and you wouldn’t get eaten while you are still alive. Also, you would have to keep the small animal population down. You would have to eat more at once to get the energy you need because once you get to eat most of the energy has already gone to the other animals and plants. To be a carnivore one of the negative things of you job would be that you have to eat so much to get the amount of energy you need to stay alive and healthy.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, the sun is the most important part of the energy pyramid. All the energy that the producers, herbivores, carnivores, and scavengers rely on comes from the sun. A lot of people underestimate the sun, not thinking it’s important, but the truth is, the sun is probably the most important piece of the energy pyramid equation. If it didn’t exist, we wouldn’t be here to study the food pyramid. The sun produces the energy for producers and the producers are eaten by herbivores, and the energy pyramid keeps going until it reaches the scavengers. The sun is the base/source for all life and without it, nothing could thrive.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the most important part of a food pyramid is the sun because the sun gives energy to the plants and the plants give energy to the herbivores and so on. Why this is important is because then the plant won’t get energy and then the herbivores would die because they wouldn’t have any plants to eat.
ReplyDeleteI think that the sun is the most important part of the energy pyramid because the sun is where the pyramid starts So without the sun there would be no place for new energy to enter the pyramid and that would kill all the other stuff in the pyramid because there is no energy flowing through the pyramid. Just like if there was no sun there would be no plants and that means no herbivore and this means no carnivore which means no pyramid. That is why I think the sun is the most important part of the pyramid.
ReplyDeleteI think that the most important of the energy pyramid is the sun because it is the one that starts every food chain. It is the first part to energy if it weren’t there there would be no energy to pass on. It is the first part to energy, the energy from it gets passed to other stages. For example if it weren’t there no energy would be passed to give to the plants so, they won’t grow causing the herbivores to starve without energy, which would make the carnivores hungry and have no energy soon die, since they had no energy the scavengers would have no energy. It is also important because of how much energy it contains to be passed on.
ReplyDeleteI learned that the pyramid kept on moving. When ever my partner would cout 10 beans she would give me them then i would have to sort them out .And then the pyramid would keep on going but it would get smaller and smaller so there was less groups of kids getting the beans .Thats what i noticed . I was the producer and i had to sort the beans inside the cups and ones i got 10 i would pass it to the harbavorce and then they would pass it to carnivores and then scavenger and every single time the group would get smaller .
ReplyDeleteIf I were in a energy pyramid I would be the sun because I only need to let the producers photosynthesize for them to feed the herbivores to feed the carnivores to feed the scavenger and so on. Though the only negative is that I will die and explode in a couple billions or maybe trillions of years.
ReplyDelete2. I think the sun is the most important because the sun gives energy to the plants which plants need. Then the plants are food by the herbivores. Herbivores need plants in order to live. If there was no sun no plants no plants no us. The sun is really important to the environment.
ReplyDelete3. The most important thing I learned about the energy pyramid is, the path of energy and how it decreases after the animals eat each other. I think this because the energy decreases as it goes through the food chain. As the cups got passed up beans dropped so it was not that much of energy.
ReplyDelete1) The most important level of the energy pyramid is the decomposers because they transfer energy back to the sun and they keep going in a circle forever. Like how earthworms are decomposers they transfer energy back to the sun.
ReplyDeleteI think that the most important level in the energy pyramid is the Sun. The Sun is the most important because it starts the energy pyramid. Without the Sun there would be no energy pyramid at all because the producers would have no energy giving no energy to the herbivores giving no energy to the carnivores and because there are no more animals the scavengers will run out of corpses to eat. Because the Sun is the source of the energy that flows through the energy pyramid it is the most important level of the energy pyramid.
ReplyDeleteIf I were in a real food chain I would want to be a herbivore. I would want to be a herbivore because herbivores aren’t always working but they don’t just sit around waiting ether. Herbivores are important because they control the plant population. The herbivores get energy from pants and give energy to carnivores. The bad thing about being about being an herbivore is that when you are working it is just the same thing over and over again.
ReplyDelete2) In my opinion, the most important level of the energy pyramid is the sun. The reason I think this is because without the sun, the producers wouldn't exist, then the herbivores that eat them wouldn't exist, the carnivores that eat them wouldn't exist, and finally the scavengers that eat the dead carnivores would also not exist. Let's say that the scavengers were to die off. Probably the only level of the energy pyramid would be some of the producers, because the scavengers die and get recycled into the Earth.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion the sun is the most important role in the food web/chain. The sun is the “food” for the producers, if there was no sun then the producers wouldn’t be able to “Photophysics”. Therefore if there was no sun then the food chain/web would collapse and there would be no life left.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to be in an energy pyramid I would be a carnivore because I would get to sleep allot more than I do now. Also I would be a carnivore because when you get to eat you eat a big meal. A reason I wouldn't want to be a carnivore is because you don't get to do things on a daily basis.

In my opinion, the producer’s are the most important part of the food chain. Why? The producers are the first organisms in the food chain which means that they have the most energy. Sure the sun should be the most important since it provides energy to the plants but animals such as carnivores and herbivores can’t eat the energy from the sun. It is also at the bottom of the food chain which makes it really important. The herbivores depend on the producers for energy and the carnivores depend on the herbivores for food. So as you can see, the producers are important in the food chain and these are my reasons why the producers are the most important in the Energy Pyramid.
In my opinion the most important job in a Energy Pyramid, is all of the jobs since you cannot perform a correct Energy Pyramid without one of the jobs. For example, if the Producers don’t produce energy then all herbivores die which means carnivores die which means the scavengers love all the dying but there will eventually be no food for them so they die too. As you can see, if the jobs from the pyramid are not done in each category of species, then the Energy Pyramid will simply not work since there is no transfer of energy moving.

ReplyDeleteI believe that the most important role in the pyramid is the sun because they provide the energy to keep the whole thing going. For instance, the sun had the most supplies of beans in the activity. It started the food chain and helped the process move along. If it weren’t for them, the chain wouldn’t have gone anywhere.
In my opinion, the sun is the most important. Without the sun, plants can’t make food. Without plants, herbivores would starve. Without herbivores, carnivores would starve. So, nothing could happen without the sun. Also, sun gives warmth for us to survive. Therefore, we need the sun.
ReplyDeleteWhile we were learning about the food pyramid and transitions of energy through it, I came to an understanding that learning the path of energy and what happens to the energy while moving up the food chain is the most important part of the food pyramid. I also think that knowing that if one of the animals stops working or dies off, how it will impact the other animals in the food chain is important. I think they were important because when you learn about the path of energy it tells you what happens to the energy as it moves up the chain. Mainly knowing how the energy is distributed and used by a plant or animal is important. For example, when we did the bean activity it was a perfect example of this distribution. It showed how plants and animals dealt with the energy and how it was passed on. Also what happens when an animal of plants dies of in the food chain. I think this was important because it tells us that an entire food chain might shut down if an important food source is lost.
ReplyDeleteIf I were part of the natural energy pyramid, I would want to be an herbivore. One reason I would want to be an herbivore, is that I would in my opinion, have the better food options. I don’t completely like meat. Another reason I would want to be an herbivore, is that I would be for the most parts traveling in herds or packs, instead of like carnivores that are mostly alone, and every man for themselves.
ReplyDeleteThe importance of my job would be that I provide food for carnivores and I trim the population of grass and plants. Herbivores largely contribute to the habitat, because if they eat plants and flowers, they can grow back and keep the habitat healthy. The energy herbivores get from the plants is passed onto the carnivore predators that eat them. The positive of being an herbivore is that it’s not hard to get food. It’s just right there. That leads to the negative of being an herbivore. You’re prey for carnivores.
2. In my opinion the most important level of the energy pyramid is the sun. I think the sun is very important to all energy pyramids it is in all of them whereas the rest of them aren’t. I think that the sun is very important because it is at the start of a food chain so it gives all of the energy needed in a food chain to the producers. The sun gives energy that every animal uses. So it starts the flow of energy, which is the thing that keeps us all alive. Also the sun gives the animals on the planet light. So these things are all very important and that is why the sun is the most important level of the food chain. ~Cambria
ReplyDeleteIf I was part of the energy pyramid I would be a producer. I would be a producer because I would get to distribute energy to herbivores and take photosynthesis from the sun. Another reason I would take the job of a producer is because you are always working but you get a break at night which sounds perfect to me. The importance of the producers job is it is a key piece of the energy pyramid. For example, I take all of that energy from the sun which is photosynthesis and I use it to grow. Then when the herbivore eats me they get energy. When they get energy then they defecate my seeds to move me for other herbivores to eat now. Also, the producer’s energy transfer is simple. The producer gets photosynthesis from the sun, then an herbivore eats the producer and takes the energy on until a carnivore eats it. The only negative part of the producers job is working all day maybe even all week until a herbivore eats you. Its also bad because you live a life to eventually die which is sad.
ReplyDeleteIf I was apart of the real food energy pyramid the job I would want to be is the sun. Because the energy is at it’s very peak, and its the first part of the food energy pyramid. And that means that I could work really hard to get energy to the producers. Because the sun has the most energy Just like my job when we did the energy food pyramid in class. I was the sun and I had the most energy because I just had to keep on counting 10 beans. Which is not that hard that is why I had a lot of energy. The only negative about this job was that I could not stop and take a brake. Unlike the carnivores who get to take a break from getting food. But at the same time if they get bored they can go catch more food. Overall though the job I would want to be is the sun.
ReplyDelete3) The most important thing I’ve learned about the energy pyramid is the transfer of energy. Before this unit, I’ve never thought about the transfer of energy in a food web or food chain. I just thought energy came from the sun and then I acted like it disappeared, forgot about it. Doing the bean simulation of the Energy Pyramid made me realize how important the transfer of energy is. Once doing it, you could clearly see the transfer the energy. The “Suns” counted ten beans to represent the energy and passed it on to the “Producer.” Then the producer placed the beans in different cups to represent how they take the energy and use it for their own needs. It took ten beans in the growth cup to make it to the “Herbivore” which then got separated into different cups for their energy needs. The beans kept going up through the food chain to the carnivore and the scavenger. Except, the energy kept getting smaller each time it moved up the food chain so the scavenger didn’t get any. This clearly made me see how the transfer of energy works in real life and how crucial it is for each living thing to do their part.
ReplyDeleteI think the most important level of an energy pyramid is the producer. This would be because for any of the other positions to get energy it all starts and comes from the producer. For example, for the consumer to do its job (consuming) it needs the energy from the producer to stay alive. So overall the producer has the most important job of supplying energy for the whole energy pyramid.
ReplyDelete2) I think that the sun has the most important job because it is responsible for giving energy to the producers through photosynthesis. The sun is the main source of energy for all of the levels in a food chain. The sun gives energy to the plants, which gives energy to the herbivores when the herbivores eat them, then when the carnivores eat the herbivores, the herbivore is giving energy to carnivore, and when the carnivores eats the herbivores, the scavenger gets the remains of the energy off of the remains of the dead herbivore. Without the sun then the producers couldn’t get any energy which makes all of the different levels of the food chain unable to work. This relates to the transfer of energy because the sun gives energy to producers and then it is passed on throughout the food chain.
